Hi, there! My name’s Kathryn and I'm 14 years old. I love music, and I love to write. The way music can move an entire crowd— I just love that. My number one goal in life is to change someone’s life for the better. Whether that be by music, writing, or even just speaking to them. I’m in love with all of the little things in life. The sound of people laughing, the way snow just barely falls down to the ground, somehow piling up into something wonderful, how two different colors, sounds, or words just perfectly click together like a puzzle piece, the way laugh lines show how genuinely happy someone is, etc., etc. I get caught up in beautiful sights, snapping probably around 20 pictures.

I get inspired by many things. By a famous quote, a determined person, a gorgeous view, a moving song, or a beautiful painting. I’ve always wanted to go to Paris one day, sometimes I feel like I was meant to live there. I’m in love with dessert, poems, stunning sights, and romance. Instead, I live in the south, as well as my entire family. I’m not complaining though, I love it here. Everything’s warmer. The meals, the weather, the people. (I’d love for it to snow once in a while, though.) My favorite seasons are fall and winter. In the fall, the colors are flawlessly blended into each other, there’s just the right amount of cold weather, and I finally get to wear sweaters. In the winter, I love Christmas, the rare snow, the freezing weather, the family reunions, the gifts, the love, the warm houses, New Year’s, and to top it all off, at the end of winter is my birthday; February 5th..

I love everything whimsical. Music, chandeliers, places, people. People that leave me absolutely enchanted after I meet them. People that leave me with stars in my eyes, people I absolutely admire. One of my favorite people in the world, though— is my dad. He keeps me grounded, he helps me soar, he loves me, and I love him right back. He’s basically my best friend, he has my back and I have his. He’s the one stability I can hold onto. We just get each other, if he’s hurting, I’m hurting— if I’m hurting, he’s hurting. Most people I admire, though, aren’t that close with me. For instance, that popular girl who doesn’t act popular, [Taylor Swift], someone who has left their mark on the world, or someone much older and wiser than me.

I guess you could say I’m a people-pleaser. I love to make people happy, and I don’t like to have any enemies. I’m not the most popular, though. I have some great friends who have stuck with me through thick and thin, but there are some who just broke off without warning. I always try to stay happy and cheerful, but some nights I get sad for no reason whatsoever.

I just want to thank you so much for reading this, for taking time out of your day to get to know me. Please message me, I’d love to talk anytime. If you’re feeling sad, I’m hear to listen. I love you.

Hello there. You may or may not know who I am, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Vince Favetta. You might know me from one of the many blogs I’ve written, or you might have gotten a message from me a while back asking you to participate in what became the “Red Lyric Video”. Today, however, I am coming to you to talk about a brand new project.

You already know this if you’ve ever been anywhere near my page or read a single word of stuff I’ve written, but four years ago I had a chance encounter with Taylor, that, in many ways, changed my life. After all, it was that very event that brought me to Taylor Connect a while back, and so many people here have become so much a part of my life’s ever-expanding story. But from the moment I created my very own page, I had a dream. I dreamt that one day I would get the chance to look Taylor in the eye and thank her for all she’s done to me. Sure, I could write a letter or just type out a message, but I believe that there are some words that take on a whole new meaning when you look someone in the eye and say them. Things like “Thank you”. Things like “I love you”. Things like “You changed everything”.

With that goal in mind, I began to create a project that would allow all of the Swifites that had become just as much authors in this story to help write the next chapter. To decide whether or not I should get to see Taylor again and thank her. But as the project expanded, as people came in and brought countless ideas to the table, something dawned on me. The project became about the words that lie at the heart of it all. Thank you. We owe so many people so much, and I wanted to give people a chance to say it. I, for one, have found that more often than not we may think the words, but we never actually say them. We never speak now. We love our parents but we don't thank them for the immeasurable acts they do for us. We love our friends but we never thank them for adding untold beauty to our lives every day. We love Taylor, but we never get to thank her for giving us the means to express our deepest selves.

And so, ultimately, The Thank You project has been born. In this very first stage, it has been set to an event page of Facebook, the link to which will be on the bottom of this post. On this page, when you click the "join" button, you are saying to your friends and to the world that you WILL speak now. You won't just keep the words in your head, but you WILL say the seemingly simple words that can change a life for good. Then, use the page and do just that. Thank the people you love. Thank your friends and your family, and tell them all the things you feel. And thank Taylor and her music. Thank her for a song, a lyric. Speak now and say how a lyric or an attitude has done so much for you. Then, invite other to do the same. Share the page on your own personal means of social media, be it Facebook, instagram, Twitter or whatever you use. Being a light in the world is a beautiful thing, but sharing that light with others is a miracle.

So that is what I ask of you. Whether you have read anything I’ve ever written or have never even heard my name until this message, this is what I ask of you. Join the event, leave your Thanks, and Share the page. Join, Thank and Share. Steps as simple as the words themselves, yet potentially just as powerful. Speak now and let those people know that they are appreciated. That they are cherished. That they are loved. Whether it's the friend you see every day or the artist this site is meant for, every single person deserves to hear the words.

Thank you. As promised, here is the link to the page.

Thank you! :) OMS!! Yeah, I remember them soundchecking Drive By! At the Raleigh show I went to they soundchecked Don't Want This Night To End by Luke Bryan for the Nashville show. Haha! I was jumping up and down so much that people around me were kind of getting aggravated. I felt bad about it, but hey, I only had like 3 inches of space between me and another person in those seats :P

I made a bracelet that said I was a TC member, but I accidentally left it at home! :/ But regardless, that concert I went to Friday was mindblowing!!! The VIP room was nice and organized. As we were waiting to get into the VIP room, they took us to an area with a special merch stand just for us, and some of her outfits were on display as well! The Agency soundchecked Holy Ground while we waited, and since that's one of my favorite songs ever, I fangirled so hard and people gave me weird looks, but I don't care :P Me and my mom were the first ones to line up to get our tickets, autographed CD's, etc. so we were literally the first ones out of 14,000 people to buy merch :) I had SO MUCH FUN singing/dancing/screaming/jamming along to every song. It's just such an incredible feeling to be standing right in front of your idol, rocking out to her songs, and knowing that she's there in real life, not through a screen. I broke down sobbing during All Too Well. I'm not kidding. Even my mom cried. You could feel the emotion in her voice, it was insane! So yeah, I had an amazing time :D
