Hello Beautiful Swifties :)

Hi, I'm Emma-Jane. I've been alive for 19 years now, and I'm finally starting to find out who I am. I am currently studying Creative Writing at University and I'm very excited for my career to start. Just like Taylor I am excited by anything else that falls into the "cute" or "cozy" categories. I love sparkles and I love pink. I learned to play guitar when I was fourteen and I have wrote just about everything for as long as I can remember. I think I wrote my first poem when I was just five years old and from the age of ten I started writing stories and then that evolved into songs. I like quilts. I like oversized jumpers and hoodies and that's probably because I'm always freezing cold. I LOVE Summer. I love the sun shining on my face and eating ice cream. I live in England but I have always believed that I was meant to be somewhere else. I've always had the strange realisation that I should have lived in America.. maybe I did in a past life? I'm obsessed with the thought of going to America and one day I hope it will come true.

Sometimes I wish I could just burst into song in the middle of the street - That wouldn't be weird, right? I am really weird and sometimes I don't understand myself. I love staring at the sky and wondering what else is out there. My lucky number always has been and always will be 3. I was born on the third of June and whenever something good happens it always happens in three's, evidently it's the same with bad things sometimes. I'm a Gemini. Which means I'm always looking for something new to learn and I like to be a know it all. It also means that I never stop talking and I love anything creative. I love bright colours and my favourite has to be bright green or bright blue. I have a collection of bracelets - I must have like 300 or more! I love accessories like ribbons and headbands, earrings and necklaces. I like being dizzy and I love fast rollercoasters.

Strangely, I like being bare footed and hate wearing shoes, if I could walk around bare footed I really would. My friends call me a hippy and I guess I am a little bit of one. I love wearing flower headbands in my hair and I love pretty summer dresses and colourful nail polish. My favourite type of music is country and folk but I love pop and old music too. I over-think and over-plan and over-organize. I like to be in control and I get stressed out when things don't go the way I planned. I'm open-minded. I've been like this since I was a baby, before I was quirky and over-talkative. I see things from a different perspective that my family do and this is why I feel like the odd one out. Not just that but I'm the only musical and creative one and yes they find my obsession with Taylor really weird. But I don't care.

Like Taylor, I classify my thoughts into two categories: "Things I can change," and "Things I can't." It does help with what you should stress about and what you shouldn't. I write songs about life. How I feel and how people make me feel. I don't just write a song with no meaning, I think it's important to add those personal details. I have written a song with someone's name included and it still remains one of my favourites I have written.

Love is a tricky business. I love everything about love and what it represents. I'm in love right now with the most amazing person. We annoy each other, we test each other and sometimes times are hard but the most special feeling ever is knowing that someone loves you and will do anything to make you happy. I fell in love with my childhood sweetheart, we met at eight years old but then he left my life for a long time. Eight years later we were thrown together again by fate and this time it wasn't just a childhood crush. It was love. I've only ever loved one person and he is who I am going to spend the rest of my life with. Love is unpredictable, frustrating, tragic and it's beautiful.

I've apparently been the victim of growing up, which apparently happens to all of us at one point or another. It's been going on for quite some time now, without me knowing it. I've found that growing up can mean a lot of things. For me, it doesn't mean I should become somebody completely new and stop loving the things I used to love. It means I've just added more things to my list. Like for example, I'm still beyond obsessed with going on the swings in the park, playing on old game consoles still love sparkles and and really old music that is way before my time. I love motown and wish I was born in that era. I still love writing in my journal and wearing dresses, I still believe that fairy tales exist. I love the freedom of living alone, but I also love things that make me feel seven again.

I'm happy that you read this whole thing. This was ridiculously long, and you probably have other stuff you could've done in the last few minutes. I like to tell people a lot about myself as you can tell but if you know all of these things about me then maybe we can find things we have in common and be friends? Thank you for getting to know a bit about me. Below is my Swifite story and how she has changed my life. I love all of the other Swifties in the world. We understand each other and we all share a love for the amazing Taylor Swift!

This is my Swiftie story..

I am THE biggest Taylor Swift fan. Most swifties are but I believe that I am and that's all that matters. I Always have loved her and her music and always will do. I first came across Taylor before she was famous and I bet a lot of Swifties can't say they heard of her before she released Tim McGraw. Well just before she was signed to a record deal and started making albums she performed many gigs in bars and cafes. I was searching through You Tube one day and came across a video of a young girl playing the guitar. I can't remember what the video was called now or where it was but I looked in the description box and there was the name Taylor Swift. I think it was her performance at the bluebird cafe but I can't be 100% sure. Wish I could remember now!

I wanted to know who she was because I really loved her voice, her talent was raw and I loved her country twang. I googled her but not much came up about her so I guessed that she wasn't an artist. A few months later I heard the song Tim McGraw and knew it was the same girl. I was fixed at that point, listening to her first album over and over again. I watched videos of her playing the guitar and was fascinated by it.

I started writing my own songs and when I turned fourteen I started learning how to play the guitar - all down to Taylor. I never would have picked one up and found the passion of creating music without her inspiration. She inspired me to start writing songs about my life and now it's my way of expressing myself. I will meet her one day and tell her all this and explain to her how much she has inspired me. I would love to just say thank you but somehow that doesn't seem enough.

I saw Taylor in concert last year on the Speak Now tour and it was the BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. LITERALLY. I was on the floor seats in the arena so I wasn't that far away from the stage but too far to really see her up close. I was enjoying myself and singing along when I saw her walk off the stage during Speak now. She started to walk down the aisles and I ran to the barriers and managed to get to the front and she grabbed my hand as she walked past. It was surreal being that close to her.

When she got to the B stage I pushed some people but I managed to get to the front there too. I was less than a foot away from her and I screamed I LOVE YOU TAYLOR and she heard me and mouthed I love you too back to me. It was AMAZING. I didn't have any of my voice left when I left that concert - the buzz was amazing and I really want to see her live again. She has the most amazing and pure voice and her songs are so inspiring.

Taylor has a star quality that you can only be born with. I couldn't choose a favourite song of hers but if I had to list a few they would be - Enchanted, Fearless, Sparks Fly, our Song, Tim McGraw, Never Grow Up and Safe and Sound.

Taylor is a big part of my life and everything she says and does impacts my life. She is amazing and special and has a rare talent. She is wise and kind and funny and so down to earth. I learn from Taylor. I don't copy her. I just admire everything about her. Some people call it an obsession - I call it dedication and I am a dedicated Swiftie.
