Three years ago on July 26, my town lost 3 little girls. Emma, Allison, and Kate Hance were returning from a camping trip with their aunt and two cousins. Eight people were killed that day. Their aunt was driving home with the kids, when suddenly something was wrong. Emma called her mom and said that something was wrong with Aunt Diane. Their aunt drove onto the Taconic Parkway the wrong way at 70mph for two miles. Then she hit a SUV head first killing the 3 men, herself, her daughter and the three little girls. Bryan, the other cousin, was the only one to survive the crash. There aunt Diane had a blood alcohol level of .19 and a high level of THC from smoking marijuana. From this tragedy, the Hance Family Foundation was created, to honor the memory of the three girls who died that day. This foundation aims to help young girls gain self-esteem. The family doesn't want this day to be remembered as a bad thing, but to use it as a day to remember the joy of the three girls, and the good in your lives.

Just remember, you are beautiful
