Long Distance Friendship!

I met a this girl named Ashley when I was 5. She was the first friend I made when I moved to Virginia from Colorado. We became inseprable after a week. Her dads job required them to move to Florida unless he wanted to lose his job. At first they wernt going to move because he was considering getting a new job. He had already filled out his rezimay (i know I didnt spell that right) and gone to the interview. They were confident that he was going to get the job because it was between him and some other guy. Turns out the other guy went to Harvard and had is PhD and MD. so they gave the other guy the job and my friend was forced to move to Florida. She's lived there for about a month and a half now and she came up to visit for 2 weeks but, she left when I went to Rhode Island So i only got to see her once before she had to go. she was even coming to say bye right when I got in the car to go to the train station. my parents didnt want to wait any longer then we had to so I didnt get to see her. Now the only way we can stay connected is through text call and facebook. its not the same as seeing her in person. She keeps on trying to by a webcam so we can video chat but her dad wont let her because he doesnt trust her. (IDK why the only child of his he shouldnt trust is my friends older sister because she's the one that has been brought home by the police 5 or 6 times and tried to run away 18 times) well this friendship is going to last no matter how far away we are. she said she'll be coming up her for halloween, new years (maybe), and spring break. plus whenever her parents will let her come up with her dad for buisness and I might get to go down there next summer.

Her birthday is coming up in 17 days and idk what to get her for it. I really want to buy her a webcam but her dad will just throw it away and I know it. what do you think I should do for her gift? a letter from all of her friends in VA maybe? hmm i need ideas!

Well I have to go now so bye!,
