I don't believe anyone who says that they can't relate to at least one Taylor Swift song. There's a Taylor song for everything- and that's why I love them so much. Listening to a song which describes exactly what you're going through is just the best feeling- I'm not quite sure why, but it is. I've been a Swiftie since 2010, not just because of Taylor's lyrics though- it's also because of her amazing personality and the incredible way that she treats her fans. I've never had the chance to meet Taylor, but I really really really hope I will eventually- I just want to thank her for absolutely everything shes done. My favourite thing to read on the forum is the meet & greet stories, they're just so lovely to read and its just the best thing to see the lengths that Taylor goes to to thank her fans and treat them like friends.
I was lucky enough to see Taylor live on her Speak Now Tour at the O2 arena, 30.03.11, and it was INCREDIBLE. I screamed and sung (ridiculously out of tune) so loudly that I lost my voice the next day, and could only communicate using a whiteboard. I was also lucky enough to see her again when she performed at BBC's Teen Awards, where she performed 4 songs- one of them was Red, it was actually the first time she had ever performed it live which was so exciting! She introduced it as her "brand new song that she had never performed before" and so I think everyone around us was a bit shocked when me and my friends already knew all the words hahaha.
On 4.02.14 I got to see the Red Tour FROM THE PIT AND IT WAS THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. My friend and I had ultimate VIP and so we got into the pit early and chose a spot right where the catwalk meets the top end of the stage- there was a little 'x' on the stage in front of us which we later learnt was for the microphone for Taylor's Mean intro speech! We were literally standing 3m away from her IT WAS AMAZING. We could touch the stage. :O Before the show started I met Amos in the pit and spoke to him about how amazing it was performing up there with Taylor, and about his Twitter haha. He said he loves how creative the fans are and that he couldn't make half of the things that we do. :') Then The Vamps came on and they were so good! I was really looking forward to them because I'm obsessed with Can We Dance. Just to top it off Bradley Simpson pointed at me and held my hand whilst singing Can We Dance and I DIED. Then it was FINALLY time for Taylor after about 2 hours 45 minutes of waiting in the pit, and she was FLAWLESS. I couldn't believe that I was that close and she was actually STANDING THERE IN FRONT OF ME. I still can't get over it, it was probably a dream hahaha. Just to top off the night Taylor hi-fived me during 22 and I couldn't deal with it, I completely lost it! THEN when Taylor was on the B-stage, the dancers and band were wandering around laughing and pulling faces at all of the fans in the pit. Amos came over and posed for a photo on my camera (it turned out blurry which is so annoying) and then Paul came over and threw me a guitar pick! As if it could get much better, Danny O'Donoghue came out as a surprise guest- I am such a huge fan of The Script and Breakeven is one of my favourite songs ever- it literally could not have been a better night, I didn't want it to end. Taylor is the most incredible performer and it was the best experience ever. :') If anyone wants to watch, I recorded Taylor's introduction to Mean and uploaded it to YouTube here- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bffru7htynk
I also went to Taylor's last night in the UK at the O2 arena (11/02/14) which was amazing as well! She sung Long Live and brought Ellie Goulding out as the surprise guest, it was perfect.
As well as being a Swiftie, I'm also a massive fan of Ed Sheeran, Hunter Hayes, Carrie Underwood, Pretty Little Liars, New Girl and Nashville- just to name a few. ;)
