My name is Emily and I’m seventeen years old. I’m actually pretty excited about turning eighteen in October, not because I can legally drink like most people, but because I can enter all those Taylor competitions where you have to be over eighteen - however those are usually ‘America-only’ competitions and I’m in the UK so I guess that point doesn’t really count anymore...
Anyway, thank you for visiting my page! I love answering pointless questions and meeting new people so don’t be afraid to say hello. If any of you visited my page regularly, or ever read to the end of my old profile, you may have noticed that I’ve changed it. This is for two reasons (1) I’d had the old one for awhile and I felt I should update it and (2) I wanted an excuse to have a break from revising for my Psychology exam.
I (obviously) love Taylor Swift. I don’t think I can chose just one thing I love about her, but in the simplest way she is just very talented but is still the same sweet girl she always has been. I have been a fan of hers since I first heard Love Story back in November 2008. I don’t regret any moment of being a Swiftie because I have met some of the nicest people in the world and I get to watch Taylor grow up and prove to the world you don’t have to get half naked on stage to sell records and become an inspiration to millions of people around the world.
I was lucky enough to get to meet Taylor in person on October 7th 2012 [if you want to you can read my story here under ‘The Luckiest Day Of My Life’ -http://swiftexperiences.tumblr.com/tagged/swiftexperiences]. One of the things that really stuck with me that day was that Taylor went to see every single person waiting while the other people just went to a few people. I never thought I would ever be able to write about going to a concert so that day meant everything to me. I haven’t yet had a chance to see Taylor on one of her tours yet as I was too young to travel to see her by myself. However I am determined to go to the Red Tour if I have to fly to another country to see her!
Although I adore Taylor and spend far too much of my life making lyrics videos (Note: Yes, I am MyWinterFirefly on YouTube as well. Thank you so, so much if any of you watch my videos) I hate writing and the ‘arty’ subjects. I just don’t have enough patience with them! I have now finished my GCSEs with 8A*'s and 5As - which makes 13 GCSEs [Taylor fangirling moment] - I could leave school this year but I'm staying onto Sixth Form (taking Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Maths). Although I really hate Chemistry. After I finish my A Levels I am hoping to go onto to university to study Biological Sciences. At the moment I love too much biology to specialise in one bit so I chose the course that had the most biology in and I’ll hopefully get to specialise in whatever aspect of biology I like the most later on. I used the word ‘biology’ far too much in that last sentence, sorry.
Apart from Taylor I love my lizard who does nothing of any interest which makes him cuddly, kind of like a pillow pet. I also like pillow pets. Animals tend to hate me, probably because I’m terrified of most of them. I love fantasy films and books, I think there’s something enchanting about discovering a new world completely different from our own with it’s own rules and problems. I love going out to shops and finding something so adorable you just have to buy it even though you know you will never have a use for it. One of my favourite things I own is a tiny golden elephant which was sent to me from a friend I met online all the way from Sri Lanka. In a way it reminds me that nothing is unreachable. I have so much respect for people out there who aren’t afraid to be different, who don’t want to be a certain way because the rest of the world says you should.
This has been quite long so well done if you managed to read all of it, you can have a free hugs for that. One last thing before I go, I like hugs - because no matter who you are, where you're from, or what you're going through a hug is always appreciated.

As some of you may have noticed I haven't been online as much recently - it's nothing against you lot, it's just exam time again. Because of this I can't be online to talk to you guys as much and I hate making you wait so long for a reply when you are always really quick at replying! Anyway onto my point - I will be replying to all messages on Saturday , every Saturday until my exams are over...

My brother and sister in law lived in Cardiff when I went to uni there (my sister in law was actually doing the same course as me but the year above). It was good knowing my brother was there if I needed something although in the end I think the only help I got from them was borrowing Trivial Pursuits for a dinner party. :) So it might be handy having your Gran nearby even if it's only a psychological bonus rather than you actually needing anything.
Ideally Channel 4 will repeat Sugar Rush some time, that way you can do the more 21st century thing and watch it on 4OD. It's quite funny that the only other 2 main roles that Olivia Hallinan has done on TV are a children's programme and Lark Rise to Candleford - so if anybody only knew her from either of those and then watched Sugar Rush they might get a bit errrrrr 'surprised' by her character in it :D
The only other actress I can really think of is Jennifer Lawrence; I'd like to pretend it was all about her acting ability but I think quite a lot of it is almost definitely because she's so gorgeous (and funny etc.). If I ever met her I would definitely have no chance of remaining cool, calm and collected.
Ideally if I ever meet Taylor my opening line would be, "Enchanted to meet you". It's really obvious but just too good an opportunity to miss (especially if I slightly exaggerated the Britishness of my accent for her benefit) :D
