not the songwriter...

ok guys, i feel pretty weird in a world full of songwriters and i don't. here's my story.

when i was about, idk like 7/8, i wrote a song, it was called impatient. i forgot all the lyrics, i wrote them in a journal i lost, but i just remember it was REALLY BAD song. so from that day on i vowed to never write a song again because i'm horrible at it.

haha, that's the truth, ruth! ;) so everyday i wonder how taylor writes such amazing songs. like she has a truly amazing talent.

Don't give up! My first song was the worst! I look back at it now and just sit laughing at it! It was that bad! But the more I write, the more I sort of improved. :) You just have to keep writing really. :) xxx

First of all: you should feel weird.
Second: you can not get better if you don't write! I've written over 150 songs and about 120 songs are HORRIBLE! There are very few songs I'm proud of. But you need to keep writing and editing! Trust me!

You should never give up! That's one of the main keys of songwriting! You never give up. If lyrics ever start coming to your head, write them down! I keep so many journals so write my songs in! It comes naturally for Taylor, so she's lucky! But keep trying! If you go through a breakup, write it down. Just feel more and then write it down! Sorry, this was long!

I don't write song but when I was younger me and my friends had this band we called lipglossed cool name right? Anyway I tried writing a song I've forgotten most of it but I remember "The door is closed now on our love I think we both have had enough it iss never opening so don't come back baby back again tonight " We didn't even have music to put behind it it was awful so your not alone I am the least talented person I know so seriously I'm sure if you try you can write an amazing song! (:

I know! It just comes so naturally to her, I don't get it. I wouldn't say I'm a song writer, I don't try to be, but sometimes I'll get like an idea or line in my head that I think sounds cool, so I'll write it down and make up some guitar to it, but I can never finish a song. I prefer writing stories

Nobody's first song is amazing, don't let that deter you. Write from the heart, about things that effect you. It doesn't have to sound good so long as it makes you feel better about the situation.
