I adore winter and autumn. Right now it's all summery but I am just so excited for autumn to begin! I love when the leaves start to fall, I love the autumn colours - beautiful oranges and reds and yellows. I love the feeling of the cool air and the breeze. I love getting out my winter coat and wearing gloves and adorable scarves. I love halloween, I still love to go trick or treating with my little sister and all her friends and their families. It is such a fun time. I love the dark. Especially because you can see Fireworks. I love Fireworks, they are beautiful, like sparkles in the air. I love Firework night when I'm with all my friends at our local Firework show. The buzz I get from that, the feeling of excitement and anticipation. The feeling that anything, absolutely anything could happen in that moment. I love winter walks with my family, they bring back so many great times. I love hot chocolates inside whilst watching so many movies and cuddling up in my favourite blanket. I love going shopping and seeing all the gorgeous winter clothing and wishing I could buy it all and move to a country where it is permanently cold. I love curling up in bed on a cold night and waking up to snow and no school. I love the sound of frost crunching beneath my feet as I walk. I love preparing for christmas, baking so many amazing things and creating gifts for my family and friends. I love Christmas shopping, I love choosing presents I hope the reciever will absolutely adore. I love lights, I absolutely am obsessed with them. I love wandering around town and seeing the shop windows illuminated with colour. I love going to the christmas fair in my village and watching the shops turn their Christmas lights on. I love Christmas fairs, all the magnificent music playing. I love Christmas day, waking up at 3am every year and feeling that deep excitement in the pit of your stomach. I love watching all the Christmas specials on tv. I love gathering around the Christmas tree and handing gifts to my family, knowing what they are and hoping for a good reaction. I love winter food, so warm and cosy. I love it when my mum makes soup. I love the fact in Winter I can sit inside and read and nobody will object. I love huge slippers. I love the romantic feel of autumn and winter, as the dark starts to creep in and everything seems so magical and whimsical and completely possible. But most of all I love the feel of winter. The happiness which ignites everyone, the fact that everyone shares a common interest, a happiness. And even if it is a stressful time for some people, it is also a magnificent time. A time for families to be together, friends to hang out and enjoy the best of times and a time for love to blossom. And I guess all that is what makes winter my favourite time of year. A time for magic.
