AbsolutelyTAYriffic : Taylor Swift

WELL, HELLO THERE...... :)
I’m Shima :) I'm 18. Born and raised in a little town near Manchester, UK. 13th of April 1994 is my birthday and evidently, like Taylor, my lucky number's also 13 :) I'm nothing special; just another huge, humongous, ginormous (okay, the point I'm trying to make is 'big') fan (:
I'm pretty much your average eighteen-year old but kinda, sorta....different. I don't claim to be perfect – but I sure am fearless :)
Thanks to Taylor, I'm all about living in the moment. No more holding onto the past and being scared for the future. I love adventures and taking risks because I’ve realised, I’ve been wasting way too much time being held back by people who weren’t worth my time; after all, you only live once :) Luckily, I have all the people I need in my life even though I lost my best friend last year, but that doesn't mean I don't want to be friends with you :)
I'm hoping to go off to University later this year and study Fashion Design. But I also love writing. So if my Fashion career doesn't go well, I've always got my writing passion. That or go travelling (: I love the idea of packing everything up and going on a journey to a part of the world I've never seen before.

Being on TC has also turned me into an keen CD collector thanks to many swifties - Dan, Dave & Emily to name a few :) Although my collections not huge (I'm just starting out) it's such a fun hobby collecting rare editions of Taylor's CD's, I recommend you to consider it :P

29.03.2011 - THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE
So, I got the chance to finally come along to Taylor's ONLY date in Manchester, UK on her UK leg of the Speak Now World Tour. And one word: wonderstruckingly-fantastically-amazingly-beautiful. Okay, so maybe that's more than one word (and a few made-up ones too) but the night was fantastically magical. It was the first time I’d ever seen her - live. I couldn't make it to her Fearless Tour in '09 but I still have the tickets. But, this night definitely made it all the more worthwhile. I'm still not over it. I was in the centre of the arena, 8th row from the stage and Taylor looked at me a couple of times (at my ridiculously bright banner I’m guessing) All I can say was that I’m still in awe, several months later!

MY FAVOURITE...
Music: Taylor Swift (of course!), Lady Antebellum, Paramore, Lifehouse, Carrie Underwood, Backstreet Boys, Kate Voegele, Birdy, One Republic, The Civil Wars, Coldplay, Christina Perri, Ed Sheeran, Jason Walker, Digital Daggers and I'd go on but you'll probably be here all day ;)
Books: Hush Hush Series, Fallen Series, Twilight Saga, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games Series, A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies, Forbidden by Syrie James and anything by Nicholas Sparks. I'm a sucker for anything romantic really ;)
TV: The Vampire Diaries, Revenge, Pretty Little Liars, 90210, 2 Broke Girls, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, The Mentalist, Once Upon A Time, Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill.

I also love cats. And ketchup (I'm on of those that puts ketchup on ketchup). And meeting new people for the first time. And California.
I've always wanted to go there & finally got my wish earlier this year. Word of advice, if you've not been there, what are you waiting for?! I fell helplessly in love with the place. If I could, i'd happily live right there in the middle of Venice Beach + Santa Monica. It's my idea of heaven on Earth.
We will meet again California. One day :)

UPDATED: 4th JANUARY 2013 I've only just started my collection a couple of weeks ago and so far, it seems to be i creasing. From 2 to around 40-something now :) But I'm hoping to expand it as soon as I source my funds! It's actually been really fun searching for the different editions of the CD's and looking for the rare promo's. but, so far, so good :) It's not huge but I'm proud of...

Yes, I'm not really a fan of the max martin stuff - apart from wanegbt and 22 of course. holy ground, red (album version) and I knew you were trouble don't do much for me, but they are very slowly growing on me. I prefer her more acoustic stuff, but that's where I'm at in my life now. A lot of people either don't realise my age, or forget it lol! As I'm turning into an old fart, I'm growing less fond of pop stuff :P

Haven't really added anything to my CD collection, too poor :( I've had a bunch of unexpected large bills come up, so have been very busy fending them off :( They're expected to take me another 5 weeks to mow my way through :( After that, it's grabbing Love Story, Fifteen and Ours from some very kind EBayers that are holding them for me until I can afford them. I'm so appreciative of these guys - I've dealt with them before and they're both really nice people and easy to deal with.

Do you like Taylor's video for "Begin Again"? Also, what do you think of ikywt being the 3rd single? I'm disappointed to be honest, there's much better songs on RED imho.

I'm hoping for tour dates soon, but I can't afford them, so I'm hoping pre sale for Australia doesn't happen for months and months...

The only songs I don't really like are Red (album), I knew you were trouble and Holy ground. There's no co-incidence that they're all produced by Max Martin. I mean, over-produced ;-) I don't like his style, although strangely, I love wanegbt.
