Hello all! I've been a Swifty for just over a year now. I became a Swifty on September 9, 2011. I was randomly watching youtube videos of soldiers coming home from over seas and surprising their families, and somehow I ended up watching videos of Taylor Swift surprising her fans . . . then more Ellen videos of Taylor . . . then music videos of Taylor . . . I fell in love. I remembered that Teardrops on my guitar was the first song I ever heard by her and I loved that song but I never knew who sang it, if you can believe that! I began researching and learning all I could about her. I watched all of her vlogs on youtube and slowly began making up for lost time . . . catching up . . . learning all about Taylor when she was at an earlier stage in her career, and every day discovering many new things. Back to December became my favorite Taylor song early on and it still is my favorite to this day. I remember the first time I heard Back to December it was in September of 2011 and it was a beautiful day, and I ran on a beautiful beach in Myrtle Beach, SC, and I listened to the most beautiful song by Taylor swift . . . it was called Back to December. With Taylor's music I am constantly rediscovering songs of hers that I thought were average and they will suddenly become so meaningful for me and I will appreciate the genius behind them.
So . . .
Why do I Love Taylor?
She is the sweetest girl in the world.
She is the most beautiful girl in the world.
She is a lyrical savant and a musical genius.
She is the coolest girl in the world.
She deserves money and success so much because she is not selfish or greedy with it, she is philanthropic and does so much to help people.
She has a sweet voice.
She is like a light . . . everywhere she goes she lights up the darkness.
She loves her fans so much and considers them friends. She does so much for fans and also for fans in need (i.e. Kevin McGuire, Ronan's family, Hug for Taylor Swift, etc, etc, etc).
She is so humble . . . she never feels entitled to an award.
She's just a regular girl who worked so hard and made her dreams come true. She's not some cheap American Idol winner, she wasn't born into the industry, she wasn't born with a sliver spoon in her mouth. Yes her parents were upper middle class, but she got into the music industry the old fashioned way . . . hard work, and a little bit of luck. She and her parents knew nothing about it. But I'll bet now her parents do and so does Taylor. She's an amazing business woman. She has to be to run her tours, her merch, I mean yes she has ppl working for her but she's the boss.
Ryan Seacrest said once when he was interviewing Taylor on his radio show that the great thing about Taylor was that she made him feel "safe". I agree. I love the way Taylor makes me feel. When I think of her I feel "safe". I feel like "home". She's like the princess I've been looking for all my life in my own fairy tale, yet she's a regular girl, so down to earth . . . if that makes any sense.
She looks really good in a blue dress. I always thought of her as "the girl in the blue dress". I guess because I still remember that tweet that Adam Young wrote about her and that's how he described her . . . and it was because of that blue dress she wore . . . some say it's purple but I think she used purple for some of the tour and blue for other parts of the tour . . . it's her Speak Now dress, my favorite Taylor dress. Although, the blue dress in my signature looks awfully good too. I don't know maybe with her "Red" album coming up I need to start referring to her as "the girl in the red dress". Oh, and in a couple of her songs she mentions a "little black dress". The girl in the little black dress? I don't know . . . I still like the girl in the blue dress the best.
Taylor is just . . . everything a girl should be. Everything a good human being should be. And I love her. And that won't ever change.
So, I really love spicy stuff. I really love pepper sauce and hot sauce, especially of the mexican varieties like Chalula and Tapatio. I also love pickled banana and pepperoncini peppers, and I eat them on my sub sandwiches, or even straight. I add peppers sauce to soups and sprinkle cayenne pepper on things when cooking. I like my chili extra spicy . . . . with more chili powder than the...
