I'm a long time Taylor fan from way back.....Taylor's voice is magical, her songwriting is genius, her lyrics always have that old time country story, her character is an example to us all.
Yes, I take Swiftamine every time I walk by some pop radio and realize that Taylor's pop music is now better than the rest of country music....
The new photo is Freyr cat "living the cat life" .....with our other eight cats on the Island of Newfoundland in the Boreal forest of the Appalachian Mountains about 1000 miles north-east of Maine. We recently added a "cat ladder" to our second floor balcony so our cat friends could visit the forest whenever they wish.
And....the historic view
And.....we have tickets to Taylor's concert at Kensington Palace!!!

RED VIP Ultimate Experience September 14, 2013 Charlottesville Virginia.....was unbelievable - my 3rd row floor seat was up against the stage barrier so it was pretty much the same as pit with no crowding. The crowd was amazing all night long....as was Taylor's show!
Favorite line from Sparks Fly: "You find I'm even better than you imagined I would be."
...and my wife is even better than I imagined in 1980...Sparks Fly whenever she smiles!
We were Fearless in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, Canada, on July 10, 2010 and survived the torrential rainstorm after the concert. Tara Oram was an outstanding opener for Taylor, but Tara looked "in awe" of the crowd like she had never performed in front of 38,000 people before....it was unbelievable for a venue which advertized they could hold 27-28,000 on an island in the North Atlantic with a total population of only 142,000. Did I mention we had Pit VIP tickets...
We had an amazing time enjoying Taylor Speak Now in Knoxville, TN on July 1, 2011, and I couldn't believe how great the thousands of backup singers in the arena were!!!
At the Knoxville genealogical library we discovered that we qualified as the descendants of two founding families of Tennessee who had been granted land as Revolutionary War veterans (and on the drive to Knoxville we discovered the Jamestown Museum gift shop was selling a replica family artifact "The Joseph Copeland Jamestown Spoon - the oldest dated piece of American made pewter", and that an ancestor was born across the river from Jamestown, Virginia in 1620 to the John Ratcliffe family (not the Governor) who appeared to be investors in the Virginia Company of London, and we celebrated the July 4th weekend at the Willard in Washington, DC - that was quite a trip!)
Other artists we've seen "Live" in concert: Amy Grant, Clint Black....and George Strait who played a dance band gig for us at our favorite dance hall in Bryan, TX in 1980!

Only solo artist in US history to place her first two studio albums in the # 1 sales position for their release year: Taylor Swift (2006) Fearless (2008) by Taylor Swift. Red (2012) moved into the # 1 sales position for 2012 by its second sales week!
Only solo artist in US history to place her first four studio albums in the # 1 sales position for physical retail store album sales for their release year: Taylor Swift (2006) Fearless (2008) Speak Now (2010) Red (2012) by Taylor Swift. No other solo artist in US history has more than three albums in the # 1 sales position for their release year.
Red's release week sales of 1.2 million.......gave Red a 19.2 % US Market Share during release week giving Taylor the top two albums in US SoundScan history for weekly market share - yes, that really happened!
.....and I love reading news stories which end in "About Taylor Swift":
About Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift, who writes all of her own songs, is a global superstar, seven-time GRAMMY winner and the youngest winner in history of the music industry's highest honor, the GRAMMY Award for Album of the Year. She is the first artist since the Beatles (and the only female artist in history) to log six or more weeks at #1 with three consecutive studio albums. Taylor has an album on Rolling Stone's prestigious The 50 Greatest Albums of All Time (by women) list, Time magazine has named her one the of THE 100 Most Influential People in the world, and she is Billboard's youngest-ever Woman of the Year and the only artist to have been awarded this honor twice. Taylor has career record sales in excess of 30 million albums and almost 80 million song downloads worldwide, and has had singles top both the pop and country radio charts around the globe. Taylor's album RED, released almost two years ago on Big Machine Records, has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide to date, including more than 1.2 million copies in the U.S. in its first week, scoring the highest first-week sales debut of any album in over a decade. Taylor is the only female artist in music history (and just the fourth artist ever) to twice have an album (2010's Speak Now and 2012's RED) hit the 1 million plus first-week sales figure. "Shake It Off" is the first single off her fifth studio album 1989 (Big Machine Records), which will be released on October 27, 2014. The single has topped Billboard's Pop, HotAC and Hot 100 charts and has already earned double Platinum-status by the RIAA for exceeding sales of two million downloads.
First Artist to have three separate albums sell over one million during release week! July 2, 2014 I look at my prediction below, and I wonder why I'm so conservative! Surely Target will pull out all the stops to put Taylor's 5th album over 500k at Target stores alone! iTunes is going to sell over 500k of Taylor's 5th album in the first week easy! ......so why...
