This poll is the result of a recent interview in which Carrie said she didn't like being compared to Taylor, because they are different.
I voted for Taylor, but I like Carrie as well.
I am attending a Carrie concert in October,and I'm totally excited.
Carrie has a larger vocal range and stronger voice.
But Taylor's voice has an angelic soft quality.

I refuse to vote in polls like this because I disagree with comparing them to one another. My three favourite girls in country music are Taylor, Miranda and Carrie... I've had the privilege of attending both Taylor and Carrie concerts this year, as well as meeting them... I will say:
Taylor:
* Is more of an international success, which I think can be credited to the pop element of her music
* Puts on a brilliant stage show and is able to tour it overseas, which is amazing!
* Doesn't have the strongest voice, but carries such emotion in her music that she doesn't need a strong voice to sound brilliant
* Is a really strong writer
* Is unafraid to try new things and collaborate outside of the country music bubble
* Is one of the sweetest people I've ever met
* Has been in the spotlight from age 16-22 so far - and writes things relevant to people of that age group, however draws in crowds of a much bigger age group.

However... Carrie:
* Isn't so much of an international success, but is able to wow her fans in places such as Australia with her voice alone, and no huge shows like she plays in the US
* Has a very strong, powerful voice that is capable of hitting some hard to hit notes
* Prefers not to write material alone, but occasionally co-writes. Has pretty much said she would rather pick songs by other writers that are relevant to her life and much better written, but when she has something to say, she does enjoy the writing side.
* Tends to stick to country music, but does have a slight pop element to her music.
* Is one of the sweetest people I've ever met.
* Has been in the spotlight from age 22 and most of her songs reflect her life from ages 22-29, however, like Taylor, she still does draw in fans of various ages.

... So, they have a lot of differences but also a lot of similarities. I feel like everyone just compares them because they are both blonde and both in country music but with a pop-ish sound. To be honest, Taylor inspires me more as a person, and therefore, I honestly love and look up to Taylor more than Carrie, but I love them both equally as musicians. :)
