Taylor Swift's 'Toxic' Boyfriend 'Changes Everything' In 'Trouble' Video
Premiering Thursday at 4:40 p.m. ET on MTV, 'I Knew You Were Trouble.' follows the corruption of a 'good girl,' Swift teases.

Can't wait until Thursday to see what Taylor Swift will be up to in her video for "I Knew You Were Trouble."? Well, MTV News has a tease from the singer herself about the Anthony Mandler-directed video ahead of "MTV First: Taylor Swift."

And, it sounds like it's going to be a doozy.

She explains this video will be unlike any other she's done in the past. The clip was shot over two days in Los Angeles and it features "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" star Reeve Carney as Swift's bad-boy love interest.


"We've been all over the place, just kind of building the story of these two people who have this really epic, really toxic relationship," she explained in the behind-the-scenes teaser. "This video is edgy because the narrative of it is edgy. The song sounds different than anything else I've ever done before, so I thought why not make this video unlike anything we've done before."

She continued that she may start out one way in the video, but things will take a dark turn for her onscreen persona. "We knew we wanted it to be some sort of corruption � good girl is living her life, going about her, you know, daily life and all of sudden she runs into this force. This guy is just like a force," she said. "She'll do anything to fit into his world, including change everything about herself."

The video will officially hit the streets on Thursday, December 13 at 4:40 p.m. ET on MTV, and is part of a weeklong celebration of Swift's birthday across all of MTV's screens. Ahead of the big premiere, on Wednesday, December 12, the almost 23-year-old will sit down with MTV News' Sway Calloway for an in-depth interview that will air during our "Big and Best of 2012" event. She'll also premiere the video's trailer during the show.

In an interesting twist of fate, the video marks Swift's 23rd entry into the world of music videos as it premieres on her 23rd birthday on December 13. And, with a new age comes a new punk rock style � in the video at least. "I knew that in this video, I wanted to look like someone else," she said. "I wanted to play a character. I wanted it to be an acting piece. We've shot so many adorable lovely scenes of these two falling in love, that interspersed with the aftermath is what I think is gonna make this story really well-rounded."

"Trouble" is the latest visual off her chart-topping Red album, which dropped back in October. It follows in the footsteps of Swift's quirky clip for "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and her romantic visual for "Begin Again."

After premiering, the "Trouble" video will immediately go into rotation across all MTV channels, and fans will be able to watch the video on demand at TaylorSwift.MTV.tv.
