I listen to the country music because of Taylor.
I hope she will go back to country music again.

I still consider her as country just because that's where she started and I don't think all her songs are pop. :)

She's a cross over artist so she's both. She has a pop sound but a country style! It's quite unique. I don't think artist should be held to certain genres though. It's about growth in the music industry after all.

Right now she is pop almost all of the Red album is pop I TRUELY miss the old country sound that is why the first and 3rd albums are my fav they have a more country feel to them

She is a mixture of both pop and country. Lately her songs have been mostly pop but some of them still have the country aspect. I still love her songs though!!!

Taylor would tell you she doesn't think that way, doesn't ask herself those kinds of questions about her music. That's one of the things I really like about her. Can't remember where I read this, it was like a month ago, but I saved it. She said:

I think if you sit there and think I have to put this instrument on this song because if I don�t people will think that I�m in a different genre, then I think that is possibly overthinking what you do. Well, she started with country but sticking with one genre your whole singing career, well now thats just boring (no offence) and Taylor got into music because of country and pop is sort of like a " hey, i might try that. If it goes well- awesome but if nobody likes it- eh, back to country". In my opinion, taylors just trying new things. If she came up with this AWESOME tune but it was a pop tune, she wouldn't turn it down. If you have a hit, and you know it, -as taylor says "speak now".
