You live 22 streets across town
It'll take me some time to drive down
I'm hoping for some traffic lights
A car crash, anything that might
Slow down time
Slow down this ride
Imagining what you'll say
Something cruel said quietly

We've been holding
Onto nothing
For far too long
Now, it's all wrong
We were happy
In our routine
But that's not enough for me
Love shouldn't be in shades of cream

I'm changing the radio station
Frantic for any relaxation
I can draw from this dark scene
Yesterday that grass looked green

Not in this light

But I've heard it in my mind already
