Laughing gas numbs the pain, so for the first few hours you will feel nothing and think that it was no big deal. Then the laughing gas wears off and that's where the trouble starts. You mouth will feel VERY sore like you just chewed on a brick and you won't feel like eating a lot because it will hurt too much. Over the next few days it becomes less sore and your eating habits will go back to normal. Then instead of pain, eating will feel awkward because you will not be used to chewing with 4 less teeth. Over time you will become used to it. Your dentist will probably tell you this and more. For a while stick to eating soft foods, warm bread, cake, doughnuts, avoid foods that are cold or require strong bites to eat like apples, when you eat, use your tongue to move the food to the part of the mouth that didn't get the teeth moved. If they are all next to each other it will be much easier. (I had two teeth removed and they were next to each so that was a a little easier). Better yet eat foods that require no chewing at all like soup. Your dentist will know more. You might also find talking rather difficult as it will also be a bit painful, fear not eventually all the pain goes away and everything will go back to normal

I've had some pulled out - i was quite young, but i remember they numbed up my mouth using this thing that you had to bite on at the back of your mouth, the they injected something and pulled it out. it didn't hurt that much, for me, but, i'll warn you, there is blood -duh?! haha, don't worry about it :)

And for those getting braces: i have twin blocks, and brackets and im going to get train-tracks in a few months. They do hurt at first, maybe for a week, but you'll get used to them. When you get them tightened they do hurt again afterwards, but don't worry :) The after effect it amazing! i've had mine in for 7 months - i had a massive, gap and teeth EVERYWHERE! - i cant explain it - but now, the gaps gone and my overbite - which was 11mm (very big) - has almost gone!! :D It's amazing what they can do!

Laughy gas makes act funny. I personally wanna try just to we what it's like. You wil have to tell me. But I have had all of my teeth pulled. Recently i had 6 pulled in one visit. My dentist was sorta mean. She left me alone after she pulled half of them. The blood started to thicken in my mouth, I was hot, stressed, miserable,uncomfortable, and in some pain. I think I cried but I could not feel my cheeks so they numbed me real well. Tell them if you need to be numbed up a bit more. The numbing medicine lasts for hours so don't worry about that. I doubt you will need one but if need need a break just ask. I don't know if laughy gas puts you to sleep but if it does it might be better. If it does put you to sleep, you may know this already but you will feel "not your self". I haven't had my wisdom teeth pulled yet, but I have a small mouth, so that's why I've had a lot pulled. But I know your going to be nervous, so ask to hold a dentists hand(that's what I did), also you can sing a Taylor swift song in your head to relax a bit. Eat won't be as fun as it should be with soft and mushy & mushy food. My jaw was a tad sore the next day. You will survive. eeek, i remember when i was lil, i had to get a bunch of my teeth pulled out, but never did i get adult teeth pulled out, or did i ever need laughing gas, they just gave me the numbness shot thingy.
I hope it doesn't kill you, if it does, I'll miss you :(
