There's nothing to fix. This is a fix for a lag problem.

lag = slow loading forums/pages ~~> slowness
If you don't see the buttons

refresh the page (F5)... the buttons will appear (it can take a few times).

I'm pretty sure they will be back... the pagenumbers/pagenavigation aren't the reason for the "lag", don't know why grnd ctrl said that to the moderators, the pages are still there, so what 'speed' is there to gain if the navigation/pagenumbers are shown or not???

The way it is now will make merging impossible for the moderators, if members keep creating similar threads because they can't see or find there old previous created threads...
