    Maybe they're only needed for certain songs due the the way they've been written. it's difficult to imagine WANGEBT without strong backup vocals.

    What performance are you referring to where the four backup singers weren't there? They were with Taylor last night for the Jingle Ball in NYC. They were also at the Jingle Ball in California earlier this month. I'm sure they're going to be around for a while, at least through the Red tour.
